While products and software may have originally been designed as assistive technology, they benefit everyone and give TD a competitive edge.
Employers who wish to tour the assistive technology lab can make an appointment to do so. Bert Floyd is also available to talk with other employers about how TD has gained its competitive edge by employing persons with disabilities. Misconceptions about hiring persons with disabilities continue to exist among business owners and employers.
For example, many believe it will cost their business a lot to provide an accommodation. The Ability First Coalition has asked other successful local employers about various myths and misconceptions that surround employing persons with disabilities.
